Farnborough Airport Limited is looking to recruit a Group Assurance Manager to support the Assurance and Compliance Department on compliance related matters across the Company. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert and will lead on performing internal compliance audits and supporting colleagues to implement corrective actions for non-conformities.

About the role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a small team overseeing the OHS and GDPR functions.
  • To act as a subject matter expert on all internal compliance matters.
  • Develop plans and schedules for internal and external audits.
  • Lead on executing the internal compliance audits across the Airport.
  • Facilitate external compliance audits when required.
  • Pro-actively use routine audits to identify potential compliance risks and process improvements.
  • Provide detailed analysis of compliance data to enable development of business compliance & OHS strategies.
  • Engage in and lead continuous improvement to reduce risks and improve compliance in the business.
  • Oversee OHS and safety investigations, guide the safety teams in identifying root causes and making recommendations to required standards in a timely manner to prevent reoccurrence of incidents and accidents.
  • Respond to questions relating to compliance requirements and support the department in advising on compliance related inquiries.
  • Lead on providing guidance on Change Management.
  • Provide regular status updates regarding the progress of compliance activities both verbally and via presentations.
  • Pro-actively educate employees regarding regulatory and compliance procedures and policies.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with Stakeholders across the Company to enable effective and open communication channels.
  • Coordinate with the relevant Stakeholders to develop accurate workflows and support in project management.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes and actively share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Deliver reports regarding progress, challenges, and changes to compliance procedures to the Head of Group Assurance who will deliver to the Leadership Team and in Board meetings.
  • Support the Head of Group Assurance with specific projects on request.
  • Assist the Head of Group Assurance on compliance-related matters across the company.
  • Complete additional adhoc tasks as requested by the Head of Group Assurance.
  • Adhere to Safety and Compliance standards and Environmental policies/guidelines at all times.

About you: Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Line Manager experience.
  • Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Auditing experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant aspects of Knowledge of CAA CAP168, H&S at Work Act., ISO 45001:2018 standards.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Aptitude to identify potential compliance issues or deviations.
  • Able to analyse data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and diligence.
  • Ability to exhibit the highest standards of integrity and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to be assertive when required.

  • Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of company processes and procedures applicable to the work environment.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in Aviation Compliance.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 standards.
  • Leadership qualification.
