Are you ready to shape the future of eCommerce at Seraphine? We're looking for an innovative Head of Engineering to build and lead our engineering team. This is your chance to step into our first Head of Engineering position, playing a pivotal role in the development of our eCommerce platform, ensuring it operates securely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, inspire, mentor, and develop a dynamic team of engineers
- Focus on enhancing developer experience, removing obstacles, and optimizing processes
- Define and implement engineering strategies for continuous improvement
- Perform architectural, system design, and code reviews
- Hands-on development and close collaboration with eCommerce and creative teams
- Empower team members with context to address business objectives
- Manage platforms including Magento 2 and HelloRetail
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Engineering Leader with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to set technical strategies and drive technological transformations
- Senior-level software engineering background with a mix of hands-on and leadership roles
- Expertise in delivering complex, high-performing, and high-quality software systems
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and analysts
- Superb communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong track record in eCommerce development, particularly with Magento 2, MySQL, PHP, and related technologies
- Knowledge of caching in Magento 2 and cloud platforms like AWS
- Deep understanding of software engineering best practices, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
