They have a strong, diverse client base in both the public and private sectors.

Specialising in delivering engineered building services solutions, encompassing low energy design to reduce carbon emissions.

Principal Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the planning, designing, and development of building services projects involving heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), water and drainage systems.
  • Undertake the design of Mechanical Services either from a survey or scheme report, drafting drawings, undertaking calculations using Hevacomp or IS Software and production of
  • specifications.
  • Collaborating with architects, clients, and other professionals to create safe, sustainable, and efficient building systems.
  • Carry out Mechanical and Electrical Surveys. Conduct feasibility studies for proposed projects, including energy consumption, life-cycle costs, and environmental impact.
  • Carry out project management duties including when acting as a lead consultant. Chairing meetings and the production of minutes.
  • Production of Fee Proposals/ Production of tender reports.
  • Carry out production of Scheme Reports.
  • Carry out production of Mechanical and Electrical Condition Reports.
  • Undertake budget cost assessments.
  • Reviewing blueprints, plans, or specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Attend Design Team Meetings and brief engineers.
  • Undertake, review and manage thermal model production.
  • Asist the London Director to undertake business development in relation to sourcing new Clients.
  • Assist the London Director to carry out Sales and Marketing to promote
  • Undertake all duties in accordance with organisational procedures and ISO 9001 and IS014001 systems.
  • Operating Microsoft Outlook e-mail system.
  • Undertake defects inspections and issue appropriate certification.
  • Developing and leveraging industry relationships to create business growth opportunities.
  • Complying with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Offering expert advice on mechanical system problems and recommending correction methods.
  • Tutor and mentor junior staff. Manage staff in relation to detailed design process.
  • Accept and undertake further training in line with personal development plans and to meet the needs of the business.
  • Manage in house mechanical, electrical, cad and secretarial staff to enable the production process and meet the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree or higher education Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the building services sector.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software. Undertake calculations using Hevacomp or IES Software.
  • Sound knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving ablities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capabilities to manage multiple complex projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Membership in a recognized professional engineering society is an advantage.
  • Always represent the organisation in an appropriate and professional manner.
