Apply NowAn outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Head of Therapy Services in Fulwood, PrestonSalary £43,585 - £49,119 per annum DOESpecialismAcquired brain injury and a range of other neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis.
Purpose To be accountable for the delivery and good governance of a multi-disciplinary therapy service by assessing, implementing (by self or junior staff), and evaluating programmes of personalised rehabilitation and care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
To provide strong effective leadership and management of the therapies team including recruitment, appraisal, and performance.
Qualifications required • BSc degree level qualification in either Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy • Management degree or equivalent experience• Registered with Health and Care Professionals Council • Post registration training in a relevant speciality• Evidence of Continued Professional Development• Current registration with relevant Professional Body• Member of a Professional Specialist Interest Group or willing to joinExperience, Skills and Ability• Demonstrable experience of evidence based practice and outcome measures• Highly specialist knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning• Experience of managing a team of staff including setting objectives, appraisal, recruitment, and disciplinary issues• An ability to work autonomously and to set own and others’ priorities• An ability to confidently assess and manage risk in relation to therapist/therapy service performance• An ability to organise, co-ordinate and respond efficiently to complex information• Competent IT skills• Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice• Excellent advanced communication skills• Ability to build effective working relationships• Motivational skills and goal setting for personalised care• Leadership and visionary skills to motivate and enthuse the therapy teamFor more information, please call LKA Recruitment on (phone number removed) option 3 or email your CV to (url removed)
