Do you thrive working collaboratively with a wide range of departments and colleagues?If so, then our Home Ownership Officer post is for you!About the role:This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced property or housing professional to join our busy Home Ownership team. The team deals with all aspects of Bernicia’s property sales and also the on-going management of leasehold properties.Bernicia has approximately 1,400 home ownership properties located throughout the North East of England. The properties are predominantly within Bernicia mixed tenure blocks and estates, along with a small number of fully leasehold apartment blocks.The role of Home Ownership Officer is post-sale related and involves:- * Delivering an outstanding front-line service to all of Bernicia’s home ownership customers including leaseholders, shared owners and freeholders receiving estate services; * Dealing with a wide range of day-to-day enquiries and requests from home owners, solicitors and other property professionals; * Setting service charge budgets and maximising collection of income; * Working effectively with various departments such as Housing Management, Assets, Repairs & Maintenance and Finance to ensure that Bernicia complies with all of our legal and contractual requirements.About you:You’ll need: * Experience of working in a property or housing related role; * Experience of managing and interpreting contracts and agreements such as leases and property transfers with keen attention to detail; * The ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues, stakeholders and property professionals; * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal; * Skilled at managing a busy and varied workload with changing priorities; * A full clean driving licence with use of a vehicle for work purposes.The Benefits: * 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays); * Working from home up to 2 days a week (following a successful probation period); * Make big savings on day-to-day expenses with discounts on shopping, groceries, holidays and days out through our Bernicia Own Benefits platform; * Generous pension schemeAbout us: * We’re all about helping people in need of housing.
