The RoleReporting to the Technical Manager, you’ll manage a team of Hygiene Operatives.

You will be the main point of contact for all hygiene related matters across the site, including the management of external contractors where required.

Your key responsibilities will include: * Leading your team to ensure site hygiene levels are maintained to a high standard in compliance with Hovis, BRC and retail customer standards, following the correct procedures in relation to cleaning and hygiene processes.

* Supervising, monitoring and improving standards of working, including overseeing the hygiene schedule, implementing procedures, providing training, leadership, coaching and mentoring where required.

* Supporting the team throughout all hygiene operations from cleaning to microbiological sampling and testing, addressing and rectifying issues that arise from audits whilst ensuring all the necessary documentation is accurately completed * Take an active role during customer visits and audits to support the presentation of due diligence information.

* Strengthen and add value to the team through the Performance Evaluation Review process, setting key smart targets with appropriate measures.

* Look for and implement continuous improvement measures in all aspects of the hygiene function.

Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities: * We are looking for a dynamic, professional individual with experience of working within food manufacturing and a proven track record of maintaining the highest of hygiene standards.

* Great people management and communication skills are essential along with the ability to motivate and lead your team to achieve fantastic results.

You’ll have good planning and organisational skills coupled with a sound knowledge or qualification in HACCP, COSHH, cleaning chemicals, IT and current food safety regulations.

* Flexibility of working will be required to ensure operational needs are met.
