Information Technology Infrastructure Engineer in Nottingham

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer in Nottingham or Derby to work for our client within the Professional Services sector.

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Security Engineer working in a fast-paced environment on a variety of projects. You will be joining a vibrant team and will be involved in configuring, installing, maintaining and analysing IT and Security systems. You will be managing the cloud infrastructure, overseeing our clients remote monitoring and device management solutions and carrying out of office integration infrastructure and security tasks This role is varied and you will enjoy an environment where you will respond reactively to unexpected challenges at short notice.

What you will bring

• IT Service Desk experience, ideally progressing from 1st line through to 3rd line
• Hands on, practical and dynamic approach
• Experience supporting desktop and networking environments
• Server and network architecture experience (with good knowledge off virtual desktop and app virtualisation services)
• Experience using endpoint management solutions, specifically Microsoft Intune
• Experience using Microsoft Defender (XDR, Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps)
• Experience spanning Microsoft 365 & Azure, Server 2016 and above, Windows 10/11, and supporting Microsoft technology and protocols
• Microsoft certifications and/or relevant infrastructure and security equivalent qualifications
• Demonstrable experience in effective stakeholder management
