Infrastructure Engineer in Farnborough

SC/DV Clearable Junior - Mid Infrastructure Engineer – Full-time Onsite Farnborough – £45-£55k + Benefits + Bonus

A great opportunity for an SC/DV Clearable (5 years UK residency) Infrastructure Engineer to join a fast-growing boutique Defence Consultancy. You will be working more on design, implementation and build rather than just BAU support. You will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and securing client’s multi-classification, virtualised, collaboration and development environments.

You will have the opportunity to expand on the skills and knowledge gained through a degree or equivalent training and have a passion for solving technical problems.

This role requires you to be at least SC cleared or clearable. Due to the nature of the work candidates must be solely UK nationals.

This role is based in Farnborough, will be full-time onsite/hybrid depending on the specific project.

Essentials Key skills :

• Windows Server 2016+ administration.
• VMware vSphere/vCenter/VCF.Azure/NSX/ VSAN
• Linux (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu)
• PowerShell.
• EUD provisioning (Autopilot), maintenance, patching and hardening.
• SSO – concepts and operation. Understanding of working in protectively marked environments.
• Active Directory – Group Policy
• Networking
• Firewalls (DNS, DHCP)

Desirable skills:

• Microsoft 365 administration
• Kubernetes administration e.g. VMware TKGI
• DevSecOps
• Tooling Elastic Nessus
• Application Packaging
• SC/DV Clearance
