Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer – S. Manchester - £55k

Synaxia Group are exclusively partnered with a highly acquisitive IT Managed Service Provider, supporting their search for a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer, who will be the technical lead on client-based projects.

The Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering solutions to the customers as projects. As such, this is a heavily project-focused role, performing migrations from on-prem architectures to Cloud, particularly Azure, Exchange Online and Azure AD.

Projects come in different sizes and complexities; the Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer will often create proposals for customers. These proposals will include multiple phases and deliverables, working across various technologies and milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the design, planning, and execution of IT projects, including cloud migrations, infrastructure, network.
  • Work with our customers to understand their business needs and propose technical solutions and IT roadmaps.
  • Conduct assessments on our customers' IT systems, produce reports, and offer recommendations accordingly.
  • Independently and with the sales team, prepare and present proposals to Customers.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

What you need

  • Experience working and leading on cloud or infrastructure projects
  • Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Remove Desktop Services) experience.
  • VMWare vSphere and vSAN experience.
  • Microsoft 365 (EntraID, Exchange Online, End Point Management, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Experience migration from on-premises solutions to Microsoft Cloud solutions, such as.

o Exchange Server to Exchange Online.

o File Server to SharePoint.

o Active Directory to Azure AD.
