Laboratory OperativeBasingstoke£11.44phMonday-Friday 8am-4pm Early finish Friday 2.30pm.On-going temporary roleWe are currently recruiting for a Lab Operative to work in Basingstoke. No previous experience for this position is required. If you have studied or worked within a science field that would be beneficial, but not essential. Due to the nature of the business you will need to be aged over 18 and be able to repeatedly lift 10kg boxes.To resupply/order consumablesTo prepare stock plates and mediaTo assist in maintenance of all stock culturesTo notify the engineering Dept and line management of equipment faultsTo provide support for the CuratorTo wash all laboratory glassware by hand or dishwasherTo ensure the laundry is maintained for all laboratoriesTo ensure the laboratory personnel are provided with pre-specified consumables on a weekly basis e.g. agar plates, Petri-dishes, glassware, etc.Alerting the QC Team Leader/ Lead Scientist of potential problems/failuresAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
