Lead Telecom and Security Engineer

Contract duration: 24- month renewable contract

About the role:

We are recruiting for Lead Telecoms & Security Engineer. that will Ensure the discipline engineering work is performed to the correct standard and budgeted execution-hours. The Lead Telecoms & Security Engineer is accountable to the Engineering Head of Department.

We are seeking high caliber people for this role that have talent, enthusiasm, and drive to influence and be part of our exciting expansion plan. The engineering team will support a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities by responsibly developing traditional Oil and Gas Energy project as well as Low Carbon / Energy Transition projects (CCUS, Green Hydrogen, Blue Hydrogen, Offshore Wind, Waste to X, Emissions Reduction). Being confidently hands on particularly during the initial mobilization period as we grow, collaborative (including international workshare and teamworking) and committed to a long-term career within a high performing and close team are some of the key qualities we are seeking. We operate a flexible working model from our modern office facilities in Al Khobar.

Responsibilities:

  • appropriate discipline resources for the preparation of proposals, FEED Verification and detailed engineering on projects.
  • verbal or written reports as required, stating the current workload in the group and whether it will meet set targets. If not, give the reasons why not and list the steps taken, or which need to be taken, to get back on target.
  • closely with the various Engineers/Head of Dept for whom the group is doing work. This will enable the latest developments, which may affect the schedule to be ascertained. Advise them of problem areas.
  • as a subject matter expert on cross-organizational project teams to give advice to customers and peer groups on technology solutions.
  • assessments for the Engineering, on the performance of the various engineers/designers.
  • checking functions for more junior engineers by signing QA/QC check sheets.
  • work packages to suitable engineers, monitor progress against the schedule, resolve queries and generally expedite the progress of the design.
  • work performed within the discipline is executed within the allocated execution -hours.
  • in there engineering ability and experience to handle queries and problems as they arise.
  • of the strengths and weaknesses of the group discipline engineers, allocate work, accordingly, provide tuition to address the weaknesses and generally promote greater expertise within the group.
  • to assess value engineering and constructability issues.
  • standards of HSE and comply with Company’s Health, Safety & Environment Management System requirements. Take reasonable care of one’s own health and safety and that of others in the workplace. Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirement.
  • issues of concern, development, and improvement to Head of Department.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Years experience in the installation, testing, maintenance and advanced design of Secure Network and Telecommunications solutions, or a combination of equivalent education and work experience Leadership & execution-hours estimation skills.
  • Degree in Engineering or Computer science
  • status preferred.
  • related project management experience working for engineering/client organizations in the oil and gas industry and/or Low Carbon Energy Transition industry.
  • of executing projects in the Middle East.
  • working with Saudi Aramco (or on Saudi Aramco projects) is a big plus.
  • knowledge and experience in the use of advanced information security solutions, including security software, scripts, configurations, network infrastructure and design, intrusion detection, TCP/IP protocols, and application security features
  • with enterprise security solutions spanning multiple business functions and geographic locations.
  • knowledge in the development of secure network architectures and standards.
  • knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP routing, AAA, RADIUS, TACACS, authentication systems, Wireless LAN, proxy technology, and network appliances.
