Locations we are recruiting for: Teddington to Sunbury area and Windsor and Maidenhead area.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to work outside in a customer facing environment and contribute to the management of waterways activities on the River Thames.
The ideal person will have a diverse range of experience, be energetic and confident.
The successful candidate will be able to work weekends as part of a rota system.
Key responsibilities:Managing and regulating water levelsProviding safe passage to boaters through the lock and managing activities on and around the lock site, associated structures and reach Assisting colleagues and customers with local expertise and knowledgeLooking after lock buildings, facilities and grounds to provide a safe and clean environmentMaintaining and developing good health, safety and wellbeing practicesDeveloping and maintaining a strong customer serviceLiaising and working with professional partnersEnsuring efficient records keeping and secure information storageCollecting customer payments including license sales and tolls, and reconciling accountsAssisting with or managing incidents The team:Our River Thames operations include 45 lock and weir complexes and our primary aim is to provide a first class service to our customers.
Your team will consist of Lock and Weir Keepers and Technical staff reporting to the Team Leader and will provide support to other teams.
The role advertised will be based at Teddington to Sunbury.
Second location we are recruiting for is Windsor and Maidenhead.
