Job SummaryWe have an opportunity for an experienced MAINTENANCE MANAGER to join our specialist engineering team at Florette in Lichfield. Working in collaboration with the wider engineering function and other departments, this role is critical to the provision of an effective maintenance service to the business. You'll manage and develop our team of skilled engineers, contributing to their individual development, and engaging in recruitment and succession planning activities. Your work will ensure the efficiency of the plant and associated equipment, ensuring availability and reliability is maximised. This role will also drive the continuous improvement of the technical elements of our safety agenda, maintenance and equipment improvements.Working hours: M-F, 37.5 hours a weekAbout UsAgrial Fresh Produce grows, processes and distributes pre-packed, ready to eat, fresh salad bags and bowls to some of the UK's well-known retailers and restaurants. We’re a responsible, ethically led business focussed on operating our business in a sustainable and ethical manner.Main Responsibilities * Support the sites H&S agenda and support the H&S manager to ensure site is compliant against all relevant health and safety legislation. * Work in conjunction with Engineering Manager and Facilities Manager to ensure all Engineering Health and Safety documentation and procedures across the site are adhered to and all the relevant documentation is up to date. * Support Engineering Manager with the creation of department procedures. Audit the department for compliance to all company policies and procedures. Facilitate site audits both internal and external e.g., BRC, AIG, GMP. Ensure teams follow internal processes to deliver positive audit results. * Manage and develop the maintenance team engaging in recruitment, performance management and succession planning. * Ensure performance issues with both equipment and team are dealt with swiftly and in the correct manner. * Understand the criticality of plant and equipment to business performance and prioritise and manage Maintenance activities to deliver agreed levels of performance. * Work with Engineering Manager to set KPIs relating to maintenance. Axgro in Scunthorpe is a leading suppliers of cooked, pickled and flavored beetroot serving national and regional customers in retail and foodservice markets in the UK as well as exporting to Europe.

Our Agrial Fresh Farms site is an Integrated farming operation based in Colchester, Essex. The salad farm provides baby leaf year-round to the UK, grown in polytunnels, and whole head and outdoor crops throughout the summer. The produce is supplied into our UK sites for processing and distribution.
