We our specialists designing and manufacturing products used in the investigation and removal of hazardous materials.Our team is composed of highly skilled professionals dedicated to excellence in engineering and project management.Position Overview:We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who can demonstrate a mininum of 5 years experience working in a design engineer environment.The ideal candidate will be responsible for engineering design, project planning, reporting and providing technical and administrative support to all projects.This role requires a varied background and a strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles; stress, forces, materials, thermal analysis and calculations.Responsibilities:Conduct engineering design activities for bespoke, clean sheet prototype productsProduce concept and detail designs in line with project plansUpdate project plans and timelines to ensure timely completion of deliverablesProduce comprehensive reports detailing project progress and outcomesProvide technical and administrative support on all projectsGenerate procurement lists and raise RFQs and purchase orders as necessaryRequirements:Min 5 years experience working in a design manufacturing environment producing complex components; ideally aerospace or medical devices Qualified in Mechanical Engineering to HNC or NVQ level 5Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principlesAble to perform classic hand calculationsStrong background in design/project engineering and administrationProficiency in a 3D design package such as SolidworksProficient in Microsoft Office suite** Must be a UK national in order to pass security vetting upon employment**Benefits:Competitive salaryOpportunities for professional development and advancementCollaborative work environmentHours: Mon-Thur 07.30 - 16.00, Fri 07.30 - 13.00If you are a motivated and talented engineer looking to join a dynamic team in the defence industry, we encourage you to apply.
