NW30161Mechanical Engineer - Anaerobic Digestion£37,000 + BenefitsGooleAlecto Recruitment is working with our client who specialises in the Anaerobic Digestion sector and is looking for a Mechanically biased Engineer to cover 2 AD facilities in Yorkshire.Benefits:Days only (Mon-Fri)Additional leaveBereavement leaveCompany pensionCycle to work schemeFree parkingHealth & wellbeing programmeLife insurance Key areas of role responsibility:Follow the Site Health & Safety policy in all job activities.Carry out Planned Maintenance tasks and log corrective actions in the computerized Maintenance system. * Respond swiftly to breakdowns to ensure rapid repair and resolution.Manage the organization of maintenance and enhancement projects.Record all breakdown details, including duration and type.Maintain inventory at economically sensible levels, ensuring availability of commonly failing parts by forecasting needs and informing the Engineering Leader of potential future issues.Oversee contractors to ensure compliance with safe work practices.Handle pump repairs, refurbishments, new installations, and fabrication work.Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.Support project tasks in collaboration with the Lead Engineer. Essential candidate criteria:Holds a relevant engineering qualification or at least 12 months of experience in a comparable engineering position.Willingness to work outside regular hours, including participation in an on-call rotation.Proficient in reading and understanding engineering drawings, developing and implementing safe work systems, identifying potential issues, and proposing viable solutions.Skilled in utilizing Maintenance Management Systems and managing contractors.Capable of working at heights, computer literate, adept at multitasking, and a motivated self-starter with strong communication skills.Self-driven, courteous, and polite to both customers and colleagues, with a commitment to confidentiality, reliability, and maintaining a diplomatic and impartial approach.Desirable criteria:Fork Lift; Telehandler; MEWPWAMITAB qualified; 18th Edition; Fabricating; WeldingTravel - Driving licence for visits to suppliers/contractors etc. may be required.
