Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Selby

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer based in Selby to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

Salary: £35,000- £40,000 + on-call payments and overtime Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday Benefits:Private Medical Insurance – After successful probation Death in Service x4 salary Pension 6% employer 5% employees Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned, predictive and reactive mechanical maintenance to ensure optimum efficiency of all machinery.

Duties of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer include:Perform planned, predictive, and reactive mechanical maintenance promptlyAttending breakdowns, fault finding and conducting rectifications of faultsPerform preventative maintenance inspection (PM), diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/componentsPerform Daily Equipment Inspections (DEI) and greasing schedulesInvolvement in the testing, improvement and maintenance of manufacturing processes and infrastructureWork in conjunction with contractors/vendor service teams when more specialised skills are requiredSupport the implementation of a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) for all repairs, servicing, and modifications to equipmentWork towards a zero-breakdown and zero-stop mentalityWe would be keen to speak with Mechanical Maintenance Engineers with the following;Apprentice-trained or relevant mechanical engineering qualificationsProven ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities, whilst working to high standards and time constraintsPositive and proactive problem solverAbility to work in varying temperatures and weather, including working outside, in production areas and on-site workshopAble to work in a team environment, with good communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to work and interact at all levels within an organisationAbility to be on call out of hours on a rota system Apply now or for a confidential discussion about this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role, please call Jake Shaw or Beth Roberts.
