If you are looking for a new challenge and exposure to a wide range of machinery this could be the step in your career you are looking for.Based in the heart of Leicester this this global manufacturer is growing their team and we are looking for a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Ideally we are looking for an engineer that has experience within a medium to heavy industry setting that can work to a tight schedule and minimise down time and work effectively on the planned maintenance schedule. This is a great opportunity to join this household product manufacturer that supply into major supermarkets and continues to thrive !!!Duties of this Mechanical Maintenance Engineers Role:Provide an Mechanical engineering service to the production team to achieve minimal down time Proactive for carrying out planned maintenance duties Insuring you are commercially aware of budgets to ensure there is the right amount of spares Look at ways to continuously improve efficiencies and downtime Collect and compile all data as requested To encourage and motivate trainee fitters and apprentices and offer assistance Maintaining and working in a safe manner, highlighting any safety concerns Qualifications required for Mechanical Maintenance EngineerMinimum of a level three Mechanical engineering qualification Experience within a manufacturing maintenance department Heavy to medium industry Some PLC knowledge would be an advantage Benefits of this Mechanical Maintenance Engineer’s role:Two days on, two nights on and four off £48,512.10 basic & shift allowance Paid overtime 20 days holiday Employee assistance program.
