Apply NowMechanical Project EngineerLocation – BournemouthLooking for a Mechanical Project Engineer who will be to joining a Tier 1 contractor and work on a large water frameworkResponsibilitiesAssist the site management team to manage sections of the work/specific sub-contract mechanical packages.
Take responsibility for checking and keeping records of delivered material, to ensure all materials used on site are in line with the specification.
To include adequate checks on subcontractor materials.
Carry out checks for quality in accordance with the inspection and test plan throughout the contract and duly record.
Establish records; calibration documents and check registers for all instruments on site, including subcontractor’s instruments.
Keep accurate records for excavations, reduce dig, concrete pours, reinforcement etc.
and convey to commercial teamEstablish method statements and inspection and test plans.
Take reasonable care for the safety of themselves and of any other person who may be affected by what they do or fail to do at workRead reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules in order to check steel for quality purposesAttending to clients' needs both on and off site and servicing projects from start to finishOn-site management including co-ordination and supervision of tradesmen •Experience Required Previous experience in a Project Engineer / client facing positionYou will be expected to have experience working within the water sector, specifically on steel pipes, and large Civils projects,Mechanical / Industry experience essential“VGC Personnel are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy
