Molecular Research Assistant - Permanent - Edinburgh - Salary dependent upon experienceI am recruiting for an experienced Biochemist for a permanent contract with an industry leading organisation based in Edinburgh.
The role will involve purifying proteins using a range of techniques including IE and SEC using the AKTA system.
You will also be responsible for carrying out PCR and other molecular biology techniquesThis role would ideally suit a graduate in a molecular discipline who has a placement in a relevant work environment or a minimum of a year post graduate lab experience.
In order to be successful in this position you should have proven experience in most of the following:- Purification of proteins.
- Experience working in an industrial laboratory.
- Working to GMP or similar quality standards.
- Ideally experience in AKTA systems.
- Molecular biology experience including PCR and protein expression would be desirable.
