As we continue to expand and enhance our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to join our team and drive our growth and efficiency to new heights.About the Role:The Operations Director will be a key member of our executive team, responsible for overseeing and optimising our manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality, and leading strategic initiatives to drive operational excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain management, and team leadership.Key Responsibilities: * Leadership & Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. * Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and reduce costs without compromising quality. * Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with industry regulations. * Supply Chain Management: Oversee the supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, ensuring timely delivery of materials and finished products. * Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. * Team Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing operations team, promoting professional growth and skill development. * Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including design, engineering, sales, and finance, to align operational strategies with business objectives. * Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and implement corrective actions as needed. * Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment for all employees.Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. * Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior operations role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in structural steel or a related sector. * Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of driving operational excellence. * In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality assurance practices. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation. * Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Why Join? * Innovative Environment: Be part of a forward-thinking company at the forefront of the structural steel industry. * Career Growth: Opportunities for professional development and career advancement. * Collaborative Culture: Work with a talented and dedicated team committed to excellence.Package:£80,000 - £100,000 + Car + Other benefits
