Long term Contract Position

ENG Bauen has been collaborating closely with a globally recognised downstream chemical operator, currently seeking to enhance its engineering capabilities for various capex projects across the UK. In response to this demand, we are seeking an experienced Piping Designer for a long-term contract role at our client's headquarters.

As a Piping Designer in this position, you will be responsible for producing and reviewing designs within the process industry, focusing on high-value greenfield and brownfield projects, with a particular emphasis on the renewable and traditional energy sectors. You will collaborate with the lead engineer on a variety of projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications from inception to completion at a high standard.

The Role

• Projects running from Concept design to execution and handover
• Produce and develop design deliverables including 3D models, GA drawings, Piping Isometrics
• Deliver M&P engineering design consistent with statutory design standards - PED, ASME, CDM
• Participation of internal and external design reviews

The Person

• Designer with 5+ years of SmartPlant3D design experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemical or similar industries
• Able to use Piping design software to extract the necessary information, in particular, material take-offs and component details.
• Understanding of the current British / European Standards as well as international standards such as ASME, in particular, BS EN 1348
