Do you have experience in SAP and PACE?Would you be interested in joining a global leading engineering consultancy at the forefront of a safety first team culture?If you've answered yes, this could be an excellent opportunity for you, so read on for further information and get in touch now to avoid missing out!The OpportunityDue to projects ramping up, an incredible opportunity has arisen for an experienced planner to join a Global Group for an initial period of 10 months.The roleAs a Planner, you will be working within established systems to manage the preparation and execution of the overhaul in your area.Estimated Duration – initially 10 months.This role has been deemed inside of IR35.Your duties and responsibilities will beTo prepare job specifications for all work on the overhaul worklist. This will involve the use of PACE (software) for all Job Method Sheet (JMS) production and storage.To assist with the implementation of any system requirements which may aid the communication route for job specs to the execution cell teams.To ensure that all local requirements are reflected in the methods.(this may include local isolation procedures, decontamination, PPE reqts etc)Produce job specifications for all jobs in your area and other areas as required. When re using existing spec’s ensure a full validation takes place, this may require re writing job methods to reach the minimum number of activities & checking materials on site against the JMS material list.Establish realistic contingencies for equipment likely to require repair and include contingency time in the event schedule. This needs to be resourced accordingly in agreement with the planning officer policy guidelines.Ensure the level of detail on specifications is correct and all aspects are completed before the job is considered 'planned'. Application of ‘realistic’ norms must always be considered ,and where no norms are available (ie Rigging) adequate provision must be allowed for to enable accurate resources to be allocated to the event. You must seek guidance from the planning officer and / or preps manager on how this is uniformly achieved.Liaise with the Preps manager and Commercial Manager to ensure scopes of work for contracts, including specialist works, are well defined and include provisions for any contingency work beyond the original scope.Ensure specification production milestones are met (by weekly measurement) and most importantly that all specifications are complete 6 weeks pre-event.To be pro-active in identifying to the Plant Team, defects and other work that should be considered for inclusion in the event.Understand the logical interface of all jobs on your worklist and the interaction between any of those jobs. (external logistics )Pro-actively identify any improvements that will contribute to the success of the planning phase.These should be raised with the preps manager and or planning officer.SafetyEnsure that all relevant safety issues are captured on the Job Method Sheet.Ensure that the JMS ‘method logic’ takes safe working into account.Assist with Major Job Reviews and Job Safety Analysis meetings.ScheduleAssist to develop the schedule in the areas identified in the planning software.Identify any external logic links and liaise with the Planning Officer to ensure that the plan is realistic and that the logics are correct.Ensure that sufficient correct level of detail is incorporated into the schedule to allow accurate progress monitoring.Preparation GeneralLiaise with the Scaffolding Supervisor to minimise scaffolding re-work on any Job specs that you have planned and organised.With the supervisors, ensure that all tags are fitted 2 weeks prior to the start of the event.Identify all pre-work clearly on the JMS ,and in time for any relevant contractor to plan and mobilise resources to execute the work safely and effectively.Assist in identifying long delivery materials.
