VGC are currently recruiting for a PLC Engineer to join HS2 project in Kingsbury near Tamworth.Job Duties:Meeting with clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs.Drawing electrical or mechanical schematics to demonstrate how processes will work.Developing and installing machine programs using automation Scada software and custom coding languages.Determining machine automation test criteria before the final installation.Testing automated systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.Troubleshooting system errors.Overseeing the successful installation of PLC programs.Documenting development processes.Providing clients with technical support.Requirements - CSCS card or equivalent, Engineering degree and experienceWorking hours- Monday - Friday 7.30 - 5.30 with an hour break each dayRate - £38. 60per hour PAYEOvertimes- During the week - over 10 hours - time and a thirdWeekends - time and a halfLodge allowance will be provided for candidates located 50 miles and over from the job and further.
