Procurement Manager

Our Procurement team is growing and we are looking to strengthen the existing team and are looking for a proven Procurement Manager from the world of Food and Non Food who can develop and bring to market a range of Products.

We are looking for someone who understands the Hospitality sector/market, the suppliers, the products, the process around and able to bring the product range to our Hotels.

This is on site role based at our Corporate office in South Kensington.

Key Responsibility:

  • Work with the Senior Procurement Manager and the wider team to streamline and improve sourcing processes and maintain alignment to the Procurement Strategy.
  • Collaborate with Property, Technical Services, Food, Beverage and Hotel Engineering teams and lead on all sourcing requirements, contract plans and procurement projects.
  • Become recognised in the business as the Procurement subject matter expert.
  • Input to Statement of Works (SOW) and Specification documents to ensure their suitability to release in relevant supplier markets as part of tenders and quotation requests.
  • Experience of delivering procurement strategies and effective contract solutions across the different category i.e. Food, Beverages, Property, FM, Agency, Utility etc.
  • Research Category market trends to establish contacts, promote Millennium, identify innovate sources of supply, new technologies and monitor mergers and acquisitions.
  • Identify and deliver cost benefit plans, best value for money and demand management techniques.
  • Develop Category Plans, Supplier Management and Contract Cycle techniques.
  • Monitor Supplier Contract Performance and enhance the adoption of Service Level Agreements (SLA) across the Category.
  • Support compliance with Policies, Processes and Procedures.
  • Run RFx events with Weighted Scorecards and ensure the input of Property Ops colleagues is built into the processes.
  • Present Executive summaries, business case papers and Tender Panel documentation.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of tendering and procurement processes
  • Familiarity with the use of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Asset Management and Life Cycle Costing principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of multi category supply markets and an understanding of Hotel / Hospitality industry.
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in the multi category.
  • Excellent proven negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and organisation skills.
  • Experienced in the use of Procurement systems such as P2P, RFx, ERP, e-auction, Inventory and CAFM.
  • Team member who builds strong, honest relationships with colleagues, internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Financial acumen, business and commercial knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work under pressure
