Procurement Officer in Pudsey

IST Resourcing Ltd are on the urgent look out for a Procurement Officer to join our business, based in the Leeds, West Yorkshire area, we are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Procurement Officer that takes pride in their work with experience and knowledge of procurement operation.

What the role entails:

This role will report into the Contracts & Managed Services Manager and will be responsible for:

·       Ensuring Purchase Orders are sent out in a timely and accurate manner.

·       Deputising for the Contracts & Managed Services Manager; stand-in in their absence.

·       Ensuring all company processes and procedures are adhered to including an effective email filing system.

·       Effectively manage contracts by building strong working relationships with both contractor, customer and colleagues where necessary

·       Negotiating contract terms, conditions and prices for Procurement activity with a view to delivering value for money/savings.

·       Assisting with building, maintaining & implementing record of data, new processes and systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed for the Job

·       CIPS qualified or part qualified would be advantageous.

·       A degree (your area of study is not important). Or High-level mathematics/numeracy skills (including GCSE maths A, B, C or equivalent)

·       Ideally has 2 years' experience in a role covering Procurement, Category Management, Contract Management and/or Commercial Management.

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and engage with Stakeholders
