Project EngineerLocation: Eastleigh, UKSalary: £34,000 - £45,000 per annumAbout the Role:We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will interact daily with project team members, both internally and externally, to ensure the timely progress of engineering projects. You will be responsible for collaborating with various departments including Production Engineering, Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Customer Services, Project Management, and Engineering to manage and report on project statuses, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project execution.Key Responsibilities:Daily Interaction: Engage with project team members to monitor and drive project progress.ERP System Management: Collaborate with Production Engineering to load projects into the ERP system and work with Procurement to address exception reports.Material Management: Coordinate with Production and Warehouse teams to manage material deliveries to Manufacturing.Order Management: Partner with Customer Services to manage orders through the ERP system.Status Reporting: Work with Project Management to report the status of projects.Issue Resolution: Collaborate with Engineering to resolve technical issues.Documentation: Work with Technical Product Managers to compile technical documentation for final safety sign-off of equipment.Team Support: Provide assistance and technical support to project participants, and communicate effectively with project managers.Deliverable Review: Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions as needed.Problem Solving: Identify potential project problems, lead the team in developing solutions, and ensure their implementation.Meeting Facilitation: Host meetings to track and drive project progress.Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships within the project team and with third-party contractors/suppliers.Schedule Management: Manage project schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager.Your Profile and Qualifications:Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, translate product drawings into actionable process information, and develop design ideas and plans.Educational Background: Degree in engineering or experience in a relevant engineering field (mechanical/electrical).Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to cultivate positive relationships.Software Proficiency: Understanding of design and visualization software.Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and judgment skills.Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills.Team Morale: Ability to build morale among teams and drive projects through the business.Customer Focus: Excellent understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with a strong desire to meet and exceed these expectations.What We Offer:A challenging and rewarding role within a supportive team environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Competitive salary range of £34,000 - £45,000 per annum.If you are a motivated and skilled Project Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on diverse engineering projects, we would love to hear from you!How to Apply:Please APPLY here or call us on (phone number removed) for more details.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
