Position: Secondary Application Engineer

Profile:
You’ll be joining the Grid Automation team, where you will devise application engineering solutions which are bespoke to the client specifications. Using your knowledge and experience for improvements, ensuring a maximized efficiency, and minimized project risk.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical specialist for application / circuit engineering.
- Develop technical specifications for Plant items including CTs, VTs, Circuit Breakers, Auxiliary Supply Boards and protection and control equipment.
- Preparations of Diagrams such as
- DID (Design Intent Documents)
- AC Connection Diagrams
- Block Tripping Diagrams
- Distance & Unit Protection Schemes
- Biased Differential Transformer Protection
- Overcurrent & Earth Fault Protection
- Control Schemes such as Synchronizing, Delayed Auto Reclose
- Busbar Protection & Circuit Breaker Fail Schemes
- Auxiliary Systems & Local Control Cubicles
- To input design review meeting and design risk registers
- To calculate Cable, Battery & LVAC loading requirements
- Provide support during production of Wiring Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Core Sheets & other interfacing diagrams.
- Commercial Awareness & Support Project Management (Scope of work, costs, time, risks etc.)
- Assist in preparations of proposals and presentations of engineering programs etc.
Ideal Background:
- 3 -5 Years + experience within the Electrical Industry / Similar Role.
- HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent communicational skills, internally and externally – verbally and written.
- Strong team working and coordination skills.
- Strong design capability & experience in secondary application engineering.
