Quality Engineer in Coventry

Infinity Employment are looking for a Quality Engineer for our client in the Coventry area. Also must be flexible to travel between Coventry and their HQ in Staffordshire once per week. This will be for a 4-6 week period with another 2 projects to follow, taking it to a 3 - 6 month contract within the Automotive Engineering Industry. We are looking for previous Quality Engineering experience.Principal Responsibilities:· Overseeing a team of Quality Inspectors. Focal contact point between the team, management and the customer· Ensuring their team approves in-process production confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.· Approve finished products confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.· Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.· Keep measurement equipment operating· Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesEssential:-· Understanding of engineering drawings and measurement data. Good communication skills as leading teams and delivering information to all parties. Team leading skills· Experience working within a manufacturing enviroment· Good organistional skills. Computer literate ( Knowledge of Excel , SharePoint ). Fluent in EnglishDesirable:-· Automotive experience. Metrology background.
