The Role:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for proactively resolving quality issues across the business along with implementing & improving processes to deliver right first time product to the customer. The right candidate will be willing to work collaboratively and proactively with other internal functions & incorporate Retrac’s core values of Performance, Precision & Pride in all their work.

Main Duties:

- Ensuring external customer requirements are understood, documented and communicated across all business functions.

- Leading technical problem-solving across the business & NCR reviews & resolving quality issues.

- Documenting & containing quality issues as required in production.

- Visually inspecting components/assemblies against cosmetic standards.

- Define internal processes & generate supporting process documentation.

- Leading project quality reviews with internal functions & customers, including reporting on the status of external quality issues.

- Ensure customer quality documentation is completed and submitted on-time.

- Develop internal standards for product families

- Provide guidance to the inspection team and ensuring quality best practices are being followed.

Technical Skillset:

- Experience reviewing & interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.

- Visual inspection of cosmetic components/assemblies advantageous - Motorsport, niche vehicle, low production experience preferred.

- Knowledge of quality management systems, associated industry recognised standards (ISO9001, IATF 16949 & AS9100).

- Extensive knowledge of advanced problem-solving methodologies advantageous (8D/PPS).

- Familiar with OEM customer requirements APQP & PPAP.

- Internal auditing experience.

- Automotive, Aerospace or Motorsport industry knowledge.

- Use of MRP/ERP systems.
