With a growing portfolio of clients and new contracts secured for the new financial year they are adding to their commercial team.

They are a leading building contractor in the north and have been trading for over a decade – always maintaining an excellent reputation.

The roleThe main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the financial delivery of the project, offering commercial expertise for the full project life cycle.

It is the Quantity Surveyors responsibly to ensure projects are procured and delivered within budget – seeking to minimise costs and ensure legal regulations are adhered to.

Key responsibilities * Multiple project cost control and reporting * Managing payments * Valuations and final accounting * Measure progress and variations * Issuing notices of the contract * Liaising with operations site team and other stakeholders within the business – building strong relationships * Subcontractor and material procurement * Monthly CVRThe personThis opportunity would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor who can take full responsibility for the financial delivery of the project.

It’s essential you have a degree in quantity surveying and at least 2 years industry experience with JCT form of contract.

Our client looks for good negotiators with excellent cost management and reporting skills.

You will be managing multiple projects so it's important you can absorb complex information and manage your time accordingly.

The role will involve site visits, so a driving license is essential.

The packageSalary will be between £55-60k plus £5k car allowance.

Other benefits include 25 days holiday, pension and discretionary bonus based on company performance.
