With the largest installed base and support network for automated sample management systems, Azenta has more than 180 systems worldwide, including installations in all the top 20 global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.Role SummaryWorking in the Stores Refrigeration department designing systems to support customer projects together with providing technical support to the Azenta Store Service Department . The Refrigeration Design Engineer will provide critical expertise in designing -20°C and the next generation -80°C refrigeration systems.Purpose of the rolePerform theoretical analysis and design for refrigeration systems. Performing piping, component and subsystem design. Assist in the mechanical and frame design. Transferring system designs into regular production.Responsibility * Responsible or design/development, specification and evaluation of refrigeration equipment and systems. * May contribute to total systems engineering, including other engineering disciplines. * Conducts feasibility studies and tests new and modified refrigeration designs. * Is involved in all phases of refrigeration development from initial concept to selecting equipment and sub-contractors. * Directs support personnel in the preparation of design documentation, design testing and prototype fabrication. * Troubleshoot and support current and future refrigeration systems. Create and maintain design, troubleshooting and service documentation * Provides design information and calculations for supporting documentation. * Depending on level may function as a project engineer/leader with the resident responsibilities of proposals/project plan, schedules, work assignments, prime contact, technical presentations, cross functional issue resolution, etc. * Is expected to keep up to date on technical advances in the discipline and related fields.Skills and Aptitude Profile: * To be considered for this role you will ideally be qualified to degree level * BSc in a technical engineering discipline * Experience within refrigeration design is essential for this role * Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Refrigeration design systems is preferredYour Rewards;Our strength lies with our staff and we are dedicated to recognising individual and team achievements and rewarding them.
