If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as a Children's Residential Support Worker.  

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded children's residential care provider.

This provider is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people by creating a safe and nurturing environment in their Children’s Residential Homes, where children can thrive and reach their full potential.  

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing direct care, support, and guidance to children and young people within our residential homes.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help create a warm and welcoming environment, promoting their welfare, development, and emotional well-being.  

Key Responsibilities of the Residential Support Worker:  Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people within a residential setting, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Create a safe and nurturing environment, promoting positive relationships and encouraging a sense of belonging.

Encourage and facilitate the development of life skills, independence, and positive decision-making.

Support children and young people in their education, assisting with homework, and promoting a positive attitude towards learning.

Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals involved in the care of the children, ensuring effective communication and a holistic approach to support.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision, enhancing your professional development and sharing best practices. 

Qualifications and Requirements:  Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential.

A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine interest in the well-being and development of children and young people.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and external professionals.

Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.

Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and evenings.

Minimum age requirement of 21 years (due to legislative requirements).
