About the role

The role will be to assist and support in Key Stage 3 & 4 classes either as an assistant or delivering pre-set work in the absence of the teacher. You do not need to hold a teaching qualification, but must demonstrate that you have previously worked with children in any previous role (youth worker, sports coach, support worker, voluntary etc

Training can also be provided to help develop behaviour management techniques to use in the classroom.

  • Be degree qualified
  • Have a high level in literacy and numeracy
  • Have a flexible approach to work and be able to think on your feet
  • Be confident and have a positive approach that engages students in their learning
  • Have excellent classroom management skills

    Salary

    £15 to £20 per hour

    Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • having experience of working with children or be educated to degree level
