Senior Inspector in Brentwood

A global Aerospace company are looking to recruit a Senior Inspector to manage the priorities of the Inspection Department.

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will ensure that products coming into the business are inspected and that compliance to customer and third-party requirements are met.

Duties:Supervise the day to day running of the Inspection Department providing guidance and support to InspectorsWorking with relevant departments to manage department prioritiesManage, review and action Inspection Queries, Shelf Life Inventory, Product Non Conformities and Supplier ReturnsSupport Continuous Improvement activities identifying ways to improve the processesPerform dimensional, visual and documentation inspection on incoming parts and outgoing productsDocument and review Inspection results and outcomesCreate, Manage and Review FAIRs in accordance with AS9102Participate in Root Cause Failure Mode investigationsDocument product quality issues / concernsDetermine and oversee inspection standards for incoming goodsExperience Required:Working knowledge of Aerospace regulationsKnowledge of Problem Solving Techniques and ToolsKnowledge of AS9102 and ISO 2859-1Ability to read and understand technical data including drawings and specifications, etcPrior experience of using measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, etc.

Technical engineering apprenticeship would be preferableMust be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, MS Office.
