Senior Management Accountant in Manchester

Marc Daniels are urgently recruiting a Senior Management Accountant required to join a well-established UK media company based in Manchester.

This role will be joining a large finance team and will suit those looking to take their career to the next level in a company that can offer long term progression and support.

Responsibilities: Manage the entire Record to Report process, including but not limited to journal entries, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations in financial performance, highlighting key insights and recommendations to management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and streamline reporting processes.

Support internal and external audit processes, providing documentation and explanations as required.

Assist in the implementation of accounting software and systems enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, assessing their impact on the company's financial reporting practices.

Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management, contributing financial expertise and insights as needed.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following: Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.

Sound knowledge of financial accounting with a focus on Record to Report processes and financial reporting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
