Senior Procurement Coordinator in Reading

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Coordinator to join a Tier One Fibre Telecommunications company on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to provide subject matter expert support for business purchasing activities managed within the Finance and Procurement functions.

Your role as Senior Procurement Coordinator will give you the opportunity to work alongside internal SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) in ensuring adherence to procurement practices, financial controls & governance guidance, whilst fostering stakeholder & supplier relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key responsibilities for this Senior Procurement Coordinator Specialist role:

• Driving Vendor Governance Initiatives to contribute to Operational Excellence and Regulatory Compliance
• Providing training to new users for PO requests and co-ordinating purchase order requests
• engaging with and managing stakeholders to ensure best practice processes are followed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders from all departments to ensure alignment with company policies, guidelines, and standards.
• Co-ordinate with Procurement Team on vendor set-up and supplier master data management
• Support a comprehensive review and rationalization of the supplier base to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Providing purchase analysis reports for supplier spend and order KPI’s.

Requirements for this Senior Procurement Coordinator role:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Purchasing, Procurement and Vendor Management
• Awareness of supplier risk management and compliance, particularly Data Protection and associated ISO standards
• Experience with Finance ERP Solutions and automated approval workflows.
• Experience with vendor management software and tools, preferably Gatekeeper or similar cloud platforms.
• Telecoms experience beneficial.
• AP and/or NetSuite experience
• CIPS Qualification desirable
