Service Charge Accountant in Gravesend

An exciting opportunity has opened for an Accounts Assistant to join a very well-established and exciting company based in the North Kent area.

Knowledge of RICS and ARMA regulations is essential as well as experience in statutory and service charge accounting.

Duties include:Preparing and finalizing service charge accounts to external auditors Dealing with all technical points on accounts preparation in line with ARMA/RICS regulations Ensuring appropriate fees are raised for work completed Ensure any excess service charges are issued to the lessees Analyse expenditure for miscoding Calculating accruals and prepayments Ensuring statutory accounts are prepared and sent to clients for approval Ensure timely approval and filing at Companies House Ensure accurate expenditure figures are provided for the estimated year to date Ensure correct appointment of budget charges in accordance with leases Ensure budgets uploaded to TRAMPS and appropriate charges are raised to the lessees More duties to be discussedThe successful candidate will:Have experience as in statutory and service charge accounting Be knowledgeable in RICS and ARMA regulations Have excellent and confident communication skills Have a good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office packagesIn return the company is offering a competitive salary, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing with service) and an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to, healthcare with Benenden, cash plan, pension contributions, employee assistance programme and more!
