Gloucestershire County Council spans six localities: Tewkesbury, Forest of Dean, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, and Cotswolds. you will be appointed the area that best suits you!About the Role: As a Team Manager in the Children's Safeguarding Service, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting a team of social workers dedicated to safeguarding children. Responsibilities include:Orchestrate and lead a team of social workers within the Children's Safeguarding Service.Align team activities with Children's Services strategic objectives to optimize impact.Ensure unwavering adherence to statutory duties in safeguarding children.Demonstrate a profound understanding of potential risks associated with each case.Provide clear management oversight, guiding the team in navigating complex risk assessments.Effectively manage the day-to-day workflow of the safeguarding team.Implement rigorous quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards.Conduct thorough observations and reflective supervision to enhance individual and team performance.Contribute actively to the development and refinement of GCC's comprehensive quality assurance framework.Build and foster positive relationships with internal colleagues and external partner agencies.Collaborate seamlessly to ensure support and protection for vulnerable children and young people.Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in safeguarding practices.Play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children under our care throughout the County.
