We are seeking several Software Engineer’s to build out Bristol’s Engineering function as we establish processes, ways of working and culture in what has until now been an engineer-less HQ.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER DESCRIPTION

Software Engineer’s are at the core of Amdaris supporting our clients with the design, development and deployment of their websites and software applications.

Our Software Engineer’s build the front-end and back-end design of websites and software applications.

They create design plans for the user-facing side of applications, which controls look, feel, and function.

They also structure the back part of an application, which manages program logic and server database interaction.

A Software Engineer is trained to understand what is going on between these two interfaces and possesses the variety of software skills needed to work on both.

People with a strong desire to learn a multitude of technologies and programming languages with a can-do attitude will thrive in this role.

Software Engineers are problem-solvers, working in a fast-paced, collaborative office environment alongside other engineers.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be designing, developing and deploying front-end and back-end applications.
• You will be creating servers and databases for functionality.
• You will ensure the responsiveness of applications.
• You will be working across the whole software development lifecycle, seeing a project from conception to completion.
• You will be working with our clients to ensure both technical and consumer needs are met.
• We’re enthusiastic about exploring new technologies to enhance our solution delivery process, and you’ll play a role in keeping up with advancements in web applications and programming languages to offer recommendations.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS

• You are proficient in back-end development with .NET.
• You are proficient with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript and are familiar with one framework such as Angular, React or Vue.
• You are proficient in SQL with familiarity in other database technologies suc as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.
• You have familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• You’re adept at functioning effectively in an Agile environment, equipped with a solid understanding of CI/CD, build pipelines, testing and architecture.
• You possess strong communication skills and exhibit confidence in problem-solving.
