Spatial Planning Manager - Birmingham - £50k - £60k

We are seeking a skilled Spatial Planning Manager to join our team dedicated to enhancing the nation's highways. As an Spatial Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing projects aimed at improving the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of our national road network.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and government agencies to drive project success.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory authorities.

  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing infrastructure projects, ideally within the transportation sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
