Belmont Recruitment are currently working with Preston based Childrens Therapy Service who are looking for a Band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapist to join them on a contract basis.

The SaLT team work with children and young people aged 0- 19 with well-developed and evidenced based pathways covering the needs of children with communication needs.

The therapy team also work closely with colleagues in health, education, and social care to provide a genuinely child-centred service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessment of need, intervention and treatment provision as indicated for a wide variety of conditions (this may include chronic, complex, disabling life limiting and challenging illnesses) within the area of speech and language therapy.

This is a 37.

5hrs a week full time position, however part time applicants may also be considered.

3–6 month contract with potential extension opportunities.

Duties | Responsibilities: * Multi-disciplinary/multi-agency collaborative working * Safeguarding of children/adults and implementation of policy and procedures with evidence of training/updates * Involvement in service improvement projects * Knowledge of a range of therapy techniques and programmesPay rate: £20.

00 - £25.

00 per hour (depending on banding)We also have other positions within mental health in the area that are waiting to be filled.
