Goss Springs Ltd is a family-owned company that specialise in the manufacture and assembly of precision springs, wire forms and pressings. The company has over 60 years of experience in the Spring and Press industry and are ISO9001:2015 and AS/EN 9100 approved.
We supply many industries, world-wide, including Aerospace, Automotive, Medical and Renewable Energy.
We have an immediate vacancy for a Spring Maker.
The ideal candidate will have experience in setting Itaya, Wafios and Schenker Coiling Machines and able to work to tight tolerances and loads.
The ability to read engineering drawings and be able to check work using Micrometers and Vernier Callipers are essential skills being sought.
An added advantage would be a knowledge of hand-coiling, of spring-grinding machinery similar to OMD, Bennett Mahler and Hack as well as some experience in using a Maxicoil coiling machine. Though desirable, these qualities are not essential.
Applicants must be punctual, hard-working, trustworthy and have a keen eye for detail.
Good mathematics, along with spoken and written English skills as well as being able to provide good references from previous employment are, also, essential.

Basic hours of 36 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 17:00 with some opportunity for overtime. 30 minutes for lunch and two, 10-minute, tea breaks.
Holidays: 5.6 weeks per year, including Bank Holidays. In the second year and subsequent years this entitlement increases to 7 weeks.
Competitive starting rate of pay of between £15.00 per hour to £21.00 per hour depending upon level of experience and/or skill-set.

We are conveniently situated a 5-minute walk from Epping Underground Station with links to East London, Harlow and surrounding areas.
Any successful candidate will be the subject of a 6 month probationary period with reviews after 1 month and 3 months.
