Apply NowHolt Engineering Recruitment are looking for an experienced Stores Controller to join our world class manufacturing client in Tewkesbury.
They manufacturer highly reliable bespoke technology for harsh environments.
With an ever growing order book and a brand new site they are now looking to grow the team.
This is a permanent position paying £30,000-£33,000pa depending on experience.
The Stores Controller will play a critical role in managing inventory and ensuring smooth operations within the stores area.
You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing goods and materials efficiently whilst also maintain accurate records of stock levels.
The responsibilities of the Stores Controller will be:Monitor stock levels and create reorder requestsReceive incoming shipments of goods and materials and verify accuracy of shipments against purchase orders or delivery notesInspect received items for damage, defects or discrepancies and report any issuesStore received items in designated storage areasConduct regular inventory counts and audits to reconcile physical stock with system recordsMaintain accurate records of inventory levels using manual or computerised systemsGenerate reports on inventory levels, stock movements and other relevant metrics Process requests for materials or goods Pick, pack and prepare items for shipment or delivery according to order specificationsMaintain cleanliness and organisation within the storage area to minimise safety hazardsCommunicate effectively with management regarding inventory status Support the production team on an ad hoc basis as requiredHandle hazardous materials or substancesThe successful Stores Controller will need:Strong organisational and time-management skills The ability to prioritise tasks effectively Proven experience in a similar role- preferably within a warehouse or storage environmentProficient in inventory management software or systems Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping Excellent written and verbal skills Knowledge of health and safety regulations Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects safelyAbility to read and understand technical drawingsA high level understanding of computer hardware configurationForklift License (Essential)IOSH Working Safely Certificate (Desirable)In return you will receive:26 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of serviceA competitive salaryDiscretionary annual bonusPension – 5% employee, 4% employer (salary sacrifice)Development opportunities relevant to your roleEnrolled in Employee Share SchemeAccess to Westfield Healthcare scheme, including:Corporate Health Cash Plan including cover for dependentsEmployee Assistance ProgrammeDiscount schemeCycle to Work Scheme If this sounds interesting to you and you wish to hear more information on our Stores Controller role PLEASE APPLY TODAY or Call Hannah on (phone number removed)
