Supported Housing Officer in Winterbourne

TristoneNash have partnered with a highly reputable social housing provider who is seeking to appoint a Supported Housing Officer.

Location: South GloucestershireLength of Contract: 2 to 3 monthsPay: Negotiable based on suitability for the roleWorking hours/days: 36.

5 hours per week (09:00am to 17:00pm M-F)The Supported Housing Officer will be responsible for providing low to medium tailored support to 12 residents, both men and women between the age of 18 and 65 who are at the risk of homelessness.

You will support residents to successfully maintain their tenancy and to secure permanent housing to enable them to live independentlyYour duties in this role would include: * Monitoring and managing rent accounts, ensuring arrears are addressed in line with organisational procedure * Establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a planned programme of support * Delivering welfare benefits and budgeting advice to individuals to ensure their income is maximised * Assisting individuals to identify and access appropriate move-on accommodation * Promoting opportunities and encourage the raising of aspirations of the individuals you support in education, training and employment * Giving general tenancy advise and assisting with any anti-social behaviour disputes * Tailoring support plans and carrying out risk assessmentsEssential requirements for this role: * Housing management experience * Supporting clients with vulnerable needs * Enhanced DBS within 3 yearsIf this position is of interest to you and feel you possess the required skills set, please apply via this advert and we will get in contact with you.
