Teaching AssistantLocation: LichfieldDuration: Full time, on goingSalary: £80 - £100 per dayThe School/role:We are recruiting for an inclusive secondary special school that accommodates students with a range of additional needs.

The school provides a supportive and engaging educational experience for students aged 11-19.

The school is committed to inclusivity, with a primary focus on addressing cognition, learning, communication, and interaction needs.

Additional considerations are given to students with sensory, physical, and medical needs, social, emotional, and mental health needs, and specific diagnoses such as autism.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing individualised support to students, promoting their academic and personal development.

Your responsibilities may include assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support, and contributing to the overall inclusive and nurturing school environment.

Requirements:· Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background· PECS and Makaton training/experience· ASD, SLD, Complex needs – Non verbal needs experience· Level 1 safeguarding certificate· Recent school based references· Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport· Full DBS – on the update serviceBalfor Recruitment is an award winning recruiter to the public, private and non-profit sectors for temporary, contract and permanent staffing.
