Job Description: Teaching Assistant

I’m currently working with a close-knit, friendly school in Cosham to recruit a Teaching Assistant.

The role is temp to perm and the school are happy to consider candidates who are immediately available or available to start in June 2024.

Your main responsibilities will be to support pupils 1:1 or in small groups to help them with their academic work.

This could be within the classroom supporting the classroom teacher or working with a pupil with SEN to help raise attainment levels.

You will also support children with their reading in guided reading session to help raise their reading levels.

Alongside academic support you will need to encourage positive behaviour in and outside the classroom by being a role model to the pupils and building a strong rapport.

Additionally, you will need to create resources to aid pupils in their academic work and create display boards to showcase high quality work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.
