With sustainability being a main priority, their completely unique ideas are creating a new wave of innovation that you do not want to miss out on.To continue with their mission, they are looking for a dynamic and driven Test Engineer to take responsibility for the delivery of test systems, focusing on testing & verifying the motor controllers and electric motors under the direction of the Lead Test and simulation Engineer.Test Engineer main responsibilities:Contribute to the definition of and management of company Dyno test facilities and test schedules.Produce technical reports that evaluate and compare product performance and statistical data for internal and external use.Process and evaluate data that is collected from testing to determine the validity of the data and that tests being performed are true and correct.Perform tests in accordance with test plans and ensure data storage complies with company procedures.Supervise, train and instruct test engineers in all aspects of testingPerform root cause analysis on test failures, test fixtures, test equipment and issues that may occur during the installation and commissioning of test systemsProvide advice and recommendations for improving the efficiency, accuracy and automation of current testing methods.Maintain test procedures and ensure test equipment is in good working order and in calibration according to departmental procedures.Support the mechanical, electronics, Integration and firmware teams in verification and validation tasks required including pre-compliance testingRequirements for the successful Test Engineer:Qualification in a relevant Electronics/Embedded/Electro-Mechanical engineering disciplineExperience in an engineering development environment, preferably sectors where testing of electro-mechanical machines is prominent (such as Automotive)Proven experience in writing technical reports in accordance with verification and validation procedures.Excellent understanding of basic electronics principles including measurement principles (isolated vs differential measurement methodology, bridge, 4-wire)Why should you apply for this Test Engineer role?25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysEmployee assistance package (EAP)Life insurance for employees only (death in service x 4 times salary)Corporate shopFree on-site parkingFree tea/coffee/snacksStakeholder pension scheme '' contribution of 5% of salaryShare schemeCompany laptop & rucksackTo apply for this Test Engineer role, click "Apply now" or contact Rhianna Beckett at Orion Electrotech, Reading to discuss further
