Test Engineer in UK

THE ROLE

Due to our continued expansion we are looking for a motivated and talented Test Engineer to join our team in the UK.

The successful candidate will work within our multi-disciplinary Delivery ​teams supporting the implementation of our next generation patient-centric remote clinical trial solutions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will be an integral part of our testing team responsible for testing our mobile applications and web services.

The role will bring plenty of interesting technical challenges and provide the opportunity for personal growth.

Core components of the role will include:

• Creating and maintaining test scripts and regression packs used for Manual and Automation testing
• Executing exploratory, smoke, regression, scenario, and e2e testing of Trial functionality as required
• Raising and linking tickets in Jira to ensure that traceability is present for auditory requirements
• Collaborating with Tableau Report Designers, Developers, Business Analysts, other Testers, Project Managers and other key stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition of work and to communicate progress.
• Adopting the role of Key stakeholder in refinement, retrospectives, and Sprint planning
• Maintaining a high standard of Jira hygiene on tickets worked on
• Investigating issues during unit testing and UAT and assisting with Production issue investigations
• Supporting the Test Lead in setting standards and streamlining processes and approaches

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Demonstrable competence in various testing types: functional, regression, integration, user acceptance testing (UAT)
• The ability to create, execute, and manage test cases and test scripts
• A thorough working knowledge of defect tracking tools (JIRA preferred).
• Proficiency in preparing and understanding test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test summary reports.
• The ability to document and communicate defects effectively
• The ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation

NICE TO HAVE

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JS,) and experience in YAML
• An understanding of data validation and verification processes.
• Exposure to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Competence in analysing clinical data for consistency and accuracy.

Candidates with past experience within in the clinical trial industry will have a distinct advantage
