Future PLC requires a Finance Manager for its UK Commercial Finance team. Future Plc is a global platform for specialist media, home to some of the world’s most famous website brands including Techradar, GamersRadar+, WhoWhatWear and Homes and Gardens.

What you'll be doing...

The role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the UK Commercial Sales revenue, Cost of Sales and Overheads, leading the team producing the monthly financial management accounts, as well as performance analysis, and budgets and forecasts. In addition, this role will be the finance business partner to the UK Group Commercial Director as part of the senior leadership team (SLT).

Reporting into the Head of Finance for Media Commercial Finance, the Finance Manager will manage month end reporting & analysis, balance sheet controls for Future PLC UK Commercial, as well as being the key Finance business partner to the Head of UK Commercial and the lead sales directors.

There will be two direct reports.

Experience that'll put you ahead of the curve...

  • Qualified accountant, with greater than 1 year PQE (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
  • Proven track record of managing, coaching and develop junior team members
  • You will need to be comfortable leading the monthly management accounts process for UK Commercial revenue, weekly & monthly forecasting process and oversight of year end close
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills with an aptitude for collaboration and share knowledge sharing
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to understand, review and improve processes and controls
  • Comfortable driving change across multiple functions and stakeholders
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo, balanced with providing guidance to the business 
  • Positive mindset, proactive and with a can-do attitude

    This is a Hybrid role from our Bath Office, working three days from the office, two from home
