AR512 – Vehicle Mechanic Location: Millbrook Salary: £37,500 - £42,500Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Vehicle Mechanic behalf of one of our clients.In this role you will be responsible for support on-site customer equipment failure inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repairs & warranty work.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:Diagnostics, maintenance and repair of military vehicles and equipment, on-site and in the field, in compliance with Company technical service and statutory regulationsIndependent deployment at a customer’s site, with responsibility for order processing and contractual documentationDeployment worldwide (potential for)Compliance with and monitoring of statutory regulations, in particular those involving safety at work and environmental protectionResponsible for the preparation of safe & compliant work sites, tools & materialsIndependent management of a facility in collaboration with a technical teamDelivery of training tasks, internally and externally with customer communityCustomer care & satisfactionExecution of fault-finding, defect diagnosis, planned & un-planned maintenance and repair work at all relevant stagesAccurate completion of all documentation inclusive of jobsheets and work ordersGeneration of work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and performance specificationsTraining and instructing new employeesSkills and Qualifications:C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair level 3 (or equivalent)Military vehicle technical / maintenance experienceTest authorisation for technical tests specified by the statutory authoritiesDriving licence Class C (HGV2) minimumExperience in vehicle inspection, maintenance & repair, ideally in the field of military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or specialist vehicle manufactureExperience in completion of relevant technical documentation and paperwork as dictated by industrySkill and experience in the operation of automotive diagnostic equipment, diagnostic fault finding and troubleshootingKnowledge of English language, written and spokenBasic knowledge of German languageGood PC skills, particularly with the common MS Office applicationsRecent exposure to electronic fleet management systemsLocation: MillbrookSalary: £37,500 - £42,500
